The RS-232 port on the LI CPU allows the User to change parameters such as but not limited to:

- SIA (Sun Interference Alerts) Parameters
- Parking AID Parameters
- 1, 2, 3 or 4 Ports Selection Parameters
- Front or Rear LIDAR Detection and Jamming Indicator Parameters (Future Parameter not yet available)
- Add User designed Audio Alerts (aka Voice Skins) other that stock Voice Alerts or in other languages ie, French, Italian, Japanese, German, Spanish, etc.
- Garage Door and Home Interior Lighting Activator (Future Parameter not yet available)

Because the processor in the LI CPU is very powerful, an endless array of other parameters can and will be added at anytime when necessity requires us to do so.

No, the needed Serial cable is not included to keep the retail price down as well as with an eye towards users who may not wish to change the stock parameters and then have a cable they neither wanted nor wished to be forced to pay for in the retail price!

RS232 cables are a dime a dozen or were the last time I got some. I suppose since they are obsolete they might now be more expensive. Fortunately I have a lifetime supply of all various configurations, not including the many I already hrew out.

The USB to RS232 converter cable with the needed chip might be more expensive - I have not checked.

Ok, maybe not useless, but but a cable that is hard to find, doesn't help the average consumer.

The cable notwithstanding, the capabilities that are enabled, even just the few currently, offer invaluable advantages to the end-user of the LI that, IMveryHO, is not available of any other current jammer.

Even now, it's head-and-shoulders above the rest.

I have two Serial to USB converters...They are easily found at the local office supply store or computer place

No other jammer offers the ability to change programs through using a computer you are stuck holding a button and counting blinks on an LED

And possibly the best feature of the LI is that it logs the PPS of each gun shot at it then the LI headquarters can take the pulse rate and design a jamming origram for that....AND there is already a control box with the truspeed PPS on the way to croatia

Cliff said for a small fee he will update your control box. All you do is pay the small fee and place a deposit Cliff will then send out the new CPU to you and return your deposit after he recives your old CPU.

Most other jammer brain set-ups are in the jammer heads meaning to upgrade them you need to fully uninstall your set-up.

Though the Escort Zr4 with VEIL is a great jammer if you decide to go that route

I found that I had the required cable already at home, when I got my LI. The software interface, identification of guns by voice, and other features impressed me as it was clearly the leader in terms of LJ technology.

That's awesome about updating firmware. I doubt police departments will be that quick to upgrade unless jammers become much more common, but who knows?
