Yeah, no problem. Your car is pretty easy to protect. Just make sure the heads are mounted straight and level and you will be good to go. In that position, the bubble should be towards the outside of the car.

    Hello fellow Scooby owner.

Like the posts have said above, C55 (Cliff), is the North American source, and you truly should go through him. His level of customer-care is rapidly becoming legendary in this community. No joke.

By going through Cliff, you'll be guaranteed of an "as fresh off the line" piece as possible, rather than going through a secondary source. Also, you'll be guaranteed product warranty, too.

If you live in a state that's likely to see TruSpeed action, I would advise that you wait until the TruSpeed enabled control-box, the 7.05, is released, before making your purchase.

    ---

Overall, yes, the LI is undeniably "the best there currently is."

It's not just the GOL testing that proves this....in *every* independent hobbyist testing, so far, the LI has always taken top-honors.

If you live in a state/area known for unfavorable LIDAR hardware and/or unfavorable enforcement practices, then the LI is, truly, IMveryHO, the *only* way to go.

However, if you're budget-limited, *AND* your state/area sees selective use of LIDAR hardware that are a good match for some of the other jammers seen in the GOL testing report and also are known to be more favorable (i.e. "easier") in terms of enforcement setup, you can do very well with any of the other jammers that tested well, particularly if you're willing to utilize some measure of passive protection.

In terms of successful REAR jamming, though, I would recommend, in the context of the GOL's tested devices, only the LI or the LPP - a dedicated rear-facing dual-head setup.

Of these two, I'd strongly favor the LI, as its unique "Slim" rear head not only facilitates installation/mounting, but also offers unique design parameters best-suited for enhanced rear-enforcement scenario jamming performance.

    ----

djrams's suggested placement will work well, particularly if your Impreza/WRX/STi has the factory fogs (or aftermarket) in-place, and if you're running a front plate.

Without consideration for either of those two, consider moving the up into the upper grill section - displacing the heads as far outboard towards each headlight unit as possible, while maintaining leveling and aiming considerations. Such a setup should give you increased center-mass as well as headlight and greenhouse protection - but if you have the former considerations, I do think that dj's recommendation may work better.
