Honestly, I have not. There is a discussion about User's wants found on the LI User's Forum linked below. Feel free to post your request there.

Just wanted to add this this really is a must. It is SO ANNOYING to have the stupid "ka band detected" going off for 15 miles at a time in pennsylvania where they use the drones on the highway with no way to mute it.

It's so bad that I can't recommend anyone purchasing the V1 and LI interface until it's fixed.

I personally like to to run both systems as standalones.

    Reason why is this:

You get tagged with lidar, you shut off the device, now you've also shut off the V1 and you won't know if you're still targeted with lidar or not, or maybe now you're targeted with radar (the double trouble trap does happen) and you won't know about it......

As 2 stand alones, you shut off the LI, still got the V1 to guard from radar or let you know you're still being zapped with lidar after you slowed down.

I didn't integrate the LI and V1 together for this very reason. That voice would be annoying as hell sounding off every radar ping. the V1 does just fine telling me what's going on. And the LI scares the crap out of me when it goes off.

Doesn't version 8 now have shortened alerts - only the siren and gun/band announcement, once only? If so, no need to mute the alert.

    Cliff,
Can you answer this? I have my quads in the mail (actually missed Fedex today) and am wondering if It only alerts once or continues to alert? Big deal breaker for me if I can't mute the Ka band if it plays over and over. If once, I will integrate the two and be happy as can be! (I am going to use the escort external and would love to have both my V1 and LI be LOUD to play over my radio...

The Alerts will continue as long as there is a LIDAR signal detected. The LI does NOT Alert to Ka Band as Ka Band is RADAR. Also, if you intend on using the external speaker provision on the LI, you cannot connect it to the speakers in your car or you will damage the LI CPU's OP-AMP which is not covered under the Warranty. You will need to use either the internal CPU speaker or use a dedicated external speaker for the LI.

Wow quick reply! I think you missunderstood me. I will interface the V1 through the LI which will utilize the external speaker. Thus giving me V1 alerts through the external speaker by way of the LI. Am I making sense? I know the LI system only alerts to the LIDAR UNLESS you have it interfaced and if I do have it interfaced with the V1 will it play "Ka Band" alert ONE time or multiple times until the signal is no longer present? Make sense?

No, the RADAR Voice Alerts cannot be muted. As such, I recommend you run the two systems separately as I do in my vehicles.
