    Default my set up..

Well, after no more working 90 hour week's at work, i am able to post some pictures and set up the system. Here are some pictures and the set up of the LI Quad. Love to hear peoples opinions on it.

Also you will notice the front head that only one is installed, reason why is I am looking to get some advice if this a good place to put it. I was go going to pot it under the plastic peice, but its to far back and a little hard to see. So i decided to not even hide it or cover it as you can see in the picture. I did not like it at first, but after a few days of just leaving, i did not even notice it there anymore.

The CPU is located on the passenger side panel, hidden unless you are on your hands and knees to look under there. The button is on the driver seat on the left plastic panel. Great location for me, its right there no need to reach anywhere.

The v1 is mounted high behind 5% window tint. Have had no problem with range so far. Works great.

Escort aux speaker is under the driver seat. I love this thing. I can have the radio up very loud, and have no problem hearing the gun used as clear as day. I do get some static noise that does come from the speaker here and there. I dont know if i should maybe use a better ground??

Nice install. That location will work but I'd put the heads in the top slot of the bumper. Not the grill.

top slot? you mean just right above the sliver piece? I tried to put it there, but the hood is to low and wont shut. i cant level the heads right if i put them there. That is if we are talking about the same spot

i think the placement there is good. just level it out as it seems its pointed at the ground(u probably haven't leveled it )

also place the v1 below the tint band in my opinion you'll get much better performance that way

correct sir, they are not level just yet haha. i been messing with it to make it straight and need to do a little more adjustment. Also was my question about the V1 that if the 5% tint will effect the performance of the unit. We have speed signs here, and it seems be get great range in radar. But the tint will effect radar and lidar?

looks like i will have to place it right under the rvm just below the tint then.

Sorry, meant the slot above you license plate holder.

As a side note, I typically rent the Fusion and Focus for road trips because of how friendly the bumpers/grills are to installing my "travel LI." Installed and aligned in 30 - 45 mins.
The cars also handle great and avg 30+ mpg above 90mph.

Yeah, at about 65mph i am getting about 37mpg. I can not complain about that at all.

Also I though about placing the heads right were you were talking about, but it was a little to low. The distance from the slot and were they are now, its about 4 inch difference. I dont know if that makes a big difference, but in order for me to put them there, i would of had to remove the whole bumper. That was not a project that i was looking to do haha. This was a little more easier install, just drill and that's it.

I will be testing this soon, and will post results. I am hoping that this is a great set up, if not i am going to adjust them where they are not. removing the bumper takes a few min, but i dont want to do all that lol. Also if i remember, i dont think the heads fit in there. i will double check later though and see.

Well here is the V1 lowered just below the tint. Feels little funny sitting in the car cause it seems its right in your face haha and not above my head. I dont mind it in either position, seems just fine. long as i am getting max performance. Also outside picture is view from the outside, can barley even see it.

i didnt realize that tint would effect it that much.

Good looking install IMO, add A CB to that set up and your spot on.

Black vehicles are awesome when it comes to LI heads, they just blend right into the bumper / Car.
