Default Differences between ZR3 and Laserpro 904/905

What are the differences between these jammers ?

    Is the ZR3 = Laserpro 905

I think the 904 requires a Bel detector ? Maybe both the 904 and 905 do?

    Thanks in advance.

the 904 does not require a bel detector but the 905 does...the 905 is newer than ther 904. The Escort Zr3 doesn't require a detector.

The Zr3 is the jammer of choise unless you plan on using BEL rd's for awhile

I understand the difference concerning stand alone (ZR3/904) and not (905)

I wonder if when it comes to jamming operation, if they are all the same or not?

It's the exact same jammer Laser Pro 905 versus Escort Zr3 but the Escort Zr3 comes with a control box

Can I buy a Bel 905 and control it with an 8500 x50 just like the ZR3? I figure why pay extra money for another display?

They are not controled with the RD...the Zr3 has its own control box...I am not to sure with the 905? nut even though its the same company now I doubt you can do that...and I doubt you can control the 905 with the X50 because it doesnt control the Zr3.

If you link the X50 to the ZR3, the X50 becomes the controls for the ZR3. I believe Bel detectors can be linked to the ZR3 also and Escort detectors can be linked to the 905. I still have my ZR3 and after I install it on my car I will link it to my Bel STi and see if it is compatible for sure.

If you link the X50 to the ZR3, the alert both audio and visual is on the X50. If you go into program mode in the X50 while it is linked there is a section where you can put the ZR3 in receive only mode if you want to. The X50 or other compatible detector will show "F shifting" for front laser alerts and "R shifting" for rear alerts when the ZR3 is hit with laser. If the X50 (or other compatible detector) detectors laser, but the ZR3 doesn't it will cause the ZR3 to activate jamming.

If you put the X50 in dark mode while linked, the front light on the ZR3 display will flash red for all radar and all front laser alerts. The rear light will flash for rear laser alerts only. It acts kind of like the smart plug does when the linked detector is in dark mode.

    Hope this information helps.

    Thanks for the info.

I am stopping by Escort HQ tomorrow in Cincinatti and will inquire about the 905 and X50 compatibility. I may be purchasing a 905 or Zr3 depending on their answer.

Default i own both the lp 904 and lp 905

i have both jammers and can tell you both work well, one is seperate like the zr3 shifter- the lp904. and the lp905 hooks with rd unit and it is suppose to be the same as earlier model lp 904(same diodes leds front/rear) but the lp 905 needs a rd unit of the 995, or pro rx65.
they work well jamming years later and still working on my lp 904 and i just got the lp 905 from roy less than month ago. dr
