JTW,
This sounds like a great idea. I would like to see you do this for ALL new laser jammers to the market.

That they are both more than a few $$. Someone who shelled out the $550 may not feel so comfortable sending their unit out to, frankly, a stranger and taking that risk financially as the renter, just as you stated in your argument to send out a lidar gun.Originally Posted by JTW

Chris are you also going to blind purchase the newest AL or LPP? Cause for all be know right now there could of been problems with the first batch?
I can understand the price of a gun vs. a jammer but it is still someone's money we are talking about.
So yes it is the same thing.
Oh, cool. Are you coming up to Vancouver or am I going down to Seattle? You can't really wait till mid-July eh![]()
Actual value is totally different then perceived value in terms of risk assessment. An insurance company is not going to pay you more money just because you feel $550.00 is worth more to you than a millionaire would. Actual value is what's replaced and actual value is what's at risk. If the jammer was broken by me I'd pay for it, but if someone broke my lidar gun they'd have a much harder time paying for it and if they can barely afford a $550.00 jammer they surely can't afford a $3k gun.
Get it guys?(don't really care if you get it or not lol. This argument is so stupid.)
JTW
p.s. Don't send the jammer if you don't feel comfortable. I'm not in control of your actions lol.
It is stupid JTW, frankly because with that statement you demean the concerns and downlplay the risk for anyone else but yourself. Good luck with getting a "rental". BTW, if your are going to start throwing out business orientated examples, does this imply you are going to supply a deposit for the rental??Originally Posted by JTW
No one is talking insurance values. We are talking about we as consumers buy and can afford to buy. You can afford to buy a gun, good for you. But someone who buys something that is less money will still value that item no matter what the cost.
So if was ok for you to rent something that required a security deposit because you deemed the item as "valuable" its not ok for others to do the same even if the price of the item was less??
Get it??
well, just get a deposit (the value of the gun or jammer) then if it is damaged all costs are covered! simple![]()
