LPP on new 07 black Mercury Milan

Wassup peeps.Well time to plan for a jammer on the new Milan.Can someone help me with putting a pic up on here of it.If you go to www.mercuryvehicles.com and select milan photo gallery,it's the 3rd pic on the top row from the left.I need placment advice.

Yes thanks.Any ideas on jammer location.My Milan is all black,but my concerns are the waterfall grill and the headlights.I won't be using veil,so i need a good jammer and good placment.

I would think you could get away with putting them down in the bottom black bumper grill under the waterfall grill. Top right and left corners flush with the fog lights. Should be good for protection of headlights and front plate I believe.

Again the best would be in the waterfall grill it self but depending on the LJ you get size will come into play.

I'm deciding between a new Blinder when it comes out,or a LPP.

The LPP does have a bigger head than the LED based jammers. The front end of that auto is a big area to hide.
Diode jammers are the best out right now regardless.
I'd go with LPP unless Blinder has something new coming out in the near future. 8)

Yeah, LPP/AL is pretty much your best option. With such a big vehicle, it's easier to get big punchthrough with blinders (400ft+)

^ I agree with this set of recommendations - the LPP, especially in a dual-head configuration, should be more than powerful enough to shield that vehicle, even with its pretty awful (speaking only in terms of how hard they are to "cover" - I actually do like the car's styling) hard-points.

If you can or don't mind cutting into the upper "waterfall" grill, that would be ideal, but the lower radiator ducting should be viable.

^ This depends on what dimensions you're measuring.....

In terms of width, my LPP heads are about half that of my front ZR3 units. In terms of height, they are slightly more over-square. Depth would be approximately equal. Weight, though, is significantly more than the ZR3.

As such, depending on the mounting considerations, the different heads could be either easier or harder to mount, but typically speaking, the diode heads are regarded actually as "significantly smaller" than the current crop of LED-based (ZR3, Blinder) heads.

I would, mrcllusb, if at all possible, postpone your purchase until the next round of GOL tests.

Certainly, if you must have protection *now,* then the considerations are different, but if you're more worried about bang-for-the-buck concerns, then awaiting some unbiased hobbyist testing would definitely be best.

There's pros and cons to the purchase of any of today's jammers.

X2, I would expect that if you don't use Veil that you will get a punch though with some guns at around 300'-400' though. That grill is killer so any extra measures to reduce any more reflective areas are crutial. I would think by reducing the headlights with Veil you could get a punch through area down to around 150' - 300'
