    Default LPP Save

I was just driving to Edmonton from home in Calgary, last night, and carelessly didn't have a prophilactic rabbit out ahead for part of the trip. Probably would have made no dif for laser.

I'm passing a group of slower cars, me doing 135 km/h in a 110 psl, when my laser warning lights up. Had I not had the jammer, he woulda had me cold.

I had 4 separate laser warnings on my Bel 65 in that encounter. I don't know if I can assume that it means he targetted me 4 separate times before the LPP switched itself off. All I know is the RCMP seemed to lack sufficient reason to come after me.

    Thanks for your comments guys.

Ok, I've got a single head LPP mounted in the grill of a '93 Acura Integra.

This image is not my car,
    http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...%3Den%26sa%3DN

but it's mounted in the middle, just below the license plate mount. So it's well positioned in between the headlights.

I have my bel 65 mounted low on the windshield, slightly left of centre, imagining that I'm more likely to pick up a laser warning with it low, and less likely to have it spotted from behind by a LEO if followed, or pulled over.

(My evil concealment plan, if pulled over is to remove the RD with my left hand, while leaning over and reaching for my registration with the right).

congrats on the save man . kinda like my last one (which was the only one so far too ). passing a few slower cars at a similar speed, then BAM, laser alert. then i realised why they were going so slow

always scares the crap outta you when you dont see it coming doesnt it?

Those vultures prey on that moment of focussed attention -- not that I'd been driving dangerously. Had I been looking for them instead of watching the road -- that might have been dangerous.

Oh, I suppose I shouldn't have been24kmh over the limit, but the evening was clear, the roads were relatively unbusy, in good shape, dry... I was hardly driving dangerously.

Yeah, it freaked me out, but wow, what a good feeling to have been...given the opportunity to slow down, without a $400 fine.

You don't have a kill switch?

Nice save, BTW. It feels good, doesn't it. 8)
