Default Thinking of an LI or LPP - few Q's.

With jammers being illegal in the UK I'm looking for a quality parking aid for my small car - Preferably LI or LPP depending on the next GOL tests. It seems a few guys on here use LPP in the UK so it must be good and not show any jam codes on guns used over here but does the LI produce any jam codes on our guns??

Next question, does the LPP only come with 1 head as standard and is that enough for the front of the car and another 1 for the rear? I know the LI comes with 2 and I was looking at getting a slim for the rear but will 1 LI head protect me if I position it above the license plate?? See below for a pic similar to my car.. I was thinking of double sided taping it up to the boot realese handle as that is the only place I could put one that I can think of (just below the cheveron).

    TIA,
    Maty.

The last CFL test showed the LI producing a jam code on one of the guns, otherwise I think it's been pretty good about not producing them.

I've got 2 slim heads on either side of my rear tag on my Focus, and got JFG results when we tested it.

Thanks edweird. Can you remember which gun that was? AFAIK over here we have Marksman, UltraLyte, UltraLyte Compact, a few Riegl's LR-90/235P, ProLaserII and 2 models of UniPar SL. I'll go take a look at the CFL test vid now but it would save me looking if you knew. If the gun is used over here in the UK then that's 1 jam code too many!!
I would get a dual slim head on the back but I really cant find anywhere to mount 2 heads. Hopefully with it being such a small car I will get away with just 1 but thought best to ask you more knowledgeable guys on here.

I've done abit of looking around and it seems for 300 pound you only get 1 LPP head so It works out cheaper getting the LI that is if it doesn't produce Jam codes on ANY of the UK guns.
    Thanks,

Just to confuse things further Maty j, the wireless LPP that Cheetah sells will dock with your GPS mirror; mind you the LI is a lot more bang for your money.

The jamcode was triggered on the Laser Atlanta. Every jammer will trigger a jamcode on that gun. The LI has the best performance period. The LPP is still good but the LI is the best as well as the "best bang for th buck!"

I love my LPP but I have to agree with Moth....LI is top dog and cheaper also how can you beat that?

Plus..isn't the Traffi Patrol XR used in the UK? I know it's not used here.

The LI will also tell you what type of gun is being used against your car too, I think that is an amazing feature

The UK sub-forum on the Laser Interceptor forum site doesn't seem to be the most active in the world, but you might try asking you questions there. Who knows, you may get lucky.

Since you're in the UK, I'd go with LPP as it's a parking sensor and legal in the UK. If legality is not an issue, then LI.

Thanks for the info guys. I don't think we have the Laser Atlanta over here so that shouldn't be a problem.
That's the reason I was looking at the LI Rottman. It seems to be the best performer and has some great features as ActiveKA says the gun recognition will be really handy as my last laser hit I didn't have a chance of seeing what the gun was. He was shooting me from above and I was going about 60MPH.

I think the traffi patrol could be used here, sure I have heard it mentioned. That list was something another member posted that I copy + pasted. Does the LI have problems jamming it and more importantly show jam codes?

I see what you mean by not the most active forum TM The UK mod hasn't been online for a couple of months either. I could always email any questions to them I suppose.

I don't know if this is getting caught on google but there seems to be alot of guests reading this..
