You're in Naperville? I'm in Hinsdale. I am gonna be waiting for the AL6 myself and am gonna be getting the V1. I doubt you would wanna use Veil on your new C6 headlights. I know I wouldn't! You're right though, laser is everywhere, especially on I-88.

The 2005 doesn't have pop up headlights like the C5 models do. This makes them an easier target. I would get veil for the headlights and tails and a laser shield for the front plate if you have one. Definitly coat what you can with Veil, this will provide you with some laser protection until you can pick up a jammer.

I would wait and buy the Antilaser AL6 and go with either the Escort X50 or Valentine One.

The Valentine One seems better for highway use in my opinion while the X50 seems better for mixed driving with the features of expert mode.

Careful, the 05's C6's don't hace pop up headlights,s I figure they must be a lot easier to target than the C5

Yeah that is very true. Too bad they had to go and change a good thing.
He would want VEIL on there for sure.

For function the Veil will work great, but I don't know if he'll wanna put Veil on the headlights because of it's appearance after application.

    jimbonzzz,

I would think his vehicle would perform similar to yours with VEIL.

Approx 300-500' punch throughs with VEIL only.

    May be more than adequate.

Some people actually like the slight bluish tint that VEIL adds. I guess it depends on how well the application is done.

I think we need to clarify. is this a C6 or C5? c6 being the ferarri look alikes although extremely sexy and trust me that's a compliment I wish people told me my EVO looked like an exotic!!!!

if you have a C5 with the pop up & down you are the pinnacle of canidates for VEIL! reason being at day time you cant see the VEIL *head lights down* and at night who gives a crap.

in my video if I remember correctly on a black 91 Vette with headlights down and VEIL on the reflective surfaces and against one of the best laser guns the stalker lz1 you are looking at 121 FT & 190 FT with no front plate. add a front plate to the mix and it went up to the 400FT area FREAKING outstanding!!! although I should add if you go with VEIL only be sure to pick up a V1 for 100% laser alerts! I'd also like to add with VEIL on the car the gun made 0 NOISE like it wasnt even working which was just incredible. this in real world situations would most deff make the officer think his gun was broke

haha if that's not good enough and you demand JTG and although over kill go with a blinder M-20 or just a single Lidatek unit and you'll be good to go!

    good luck

the video I made with the 91 vette can be found here!

    The car we're talking about here is a 2005 so it's definitely a C6.

Like everyone saud dont get a jammer yet....

for radar i would recommend getting a V1 or RX65

also just VEIL your headlights because a corvette is pretty hard to target
