It cuts the PT distance of laser, it's been said quite a few times on this forum.

It has also been said quite a few times on this forum that this effect is very inconsistent, does not occur on all cars, or with all HIDs, and cannot be counted on for any predictable protection. If you're figuring this into your protection equation, that's a recipe for fail.

There is no mounting location without the use of a custom bracket for the ORANGE locations.

Precisely why I recommend you take it to a professional installer.

Agree completely. HID beams were completely ineffective against laser on two of my cars. Just flat out made no difference at all. Probably depends more on the design of the headlamp housing.

Professional installers don't make excuses, they produce results.

I understand that, I'm getting the HID's anyway just because I want brighter headlamps then the 09 GTS has. We'll see what STLx50 and I can come up with, I would prefer the orange location just like all of you and if it means taking it to my shop that I've used several times, then so be it.
