Default Is matching Jammer to Detector really worth it? Or mix?

    Howdy.

I've got a Vector 995 and I'm now looking to get a jammer. I was pretty sure I wanted the Blinder M-20 8), but after reading some more it sounds like I should be looking at the Bel LaserPro 905 since it plugs into my V995.

Is it really better to have them matched or are there any real benefits of it? Or should I just go with my original plan of V995 and the Blinder, even though they work independently instead of together? :?

    Thanks!!!

    Craig

ps I tried searching but nothing really pertained directly to my question. If there is a thread about this already please post up a link

The biggest drawback to the Laserpro 905 is that it absolutely requires a newer model high-end Beltronics or Escort detector. If the detector goes then you get no laser jamming until you buy another one of their radar detectors. Also the Blinder still has the speeding ticket guarantee, replaceable lenses, and of course a highly proven track record of performance and reliability. I purchased two Blinder M20 units to make my own M40 for front and rear protection while keeping the extra central hub and wiring as a backup. Whichever route you go get Veil +/- a Laser Shield to maximize performance and offer protection should the jammer malfunction or not recognize a laser hit.

I know that in escort zr3 the detector laser sensor will trigger the jammer, so instead of two laser sensors you get three detecting sensors. if you go for the blinder there is no connection between the detector and the jammer units.
I think it is the same with the 905, if the detector picks up a laser it will trigger the jammers.
This means you get a better detection cover this way (jamming stays the same).
Saying that i will go for the blinder, bel reliability is not as good as the blinder take for example the 990i series, going "LOS CAL" error...

    Yeah that's another thing that I'm wondering. . .

If it's the 905/zr3, they depend on your having the detector for them to work. The two jammer units do pickup laser as well though, right? I'd like to mount my detector high, and if it misses the laser signal I still want the jammer units to function.

I'm still feeling the Blinder though, just need to plunk down the dough.

    Default zr3

The zr3 can function without the detector, the 905 can't.
For me the decision was easy cause the bel and escort don't give me the KA sensitivity I need so I went for the V1 U mode and going for the Blinder was the best thing for me.

I have been thinking of a way to connect the V1 to the blinder but it is just a thought now.
