My friends arguing with me about how he doesn't need a jammer because with his v1 he can slow down before the cops hit him a second time. Is it true that cops need to laser you twice? Once to check speed, second time to verify?

They will usually have your speed locked in less than a second without a jammer. Any thing less than a jammer will just tell you that your speed was just read.
LOL! Your friend doesn't have a clue what he's talking about. No, they do not have to shoot you twice. And no, you couldn't slow down in time even if they did.
friends don't let friends drive stupid![]()
Yeah, I think his black mazda 3 just have a slight stealth signature and these cops don't know how to aim a laser. The funny thing is my other friend with a x50 said he got lasered by a cop doing 85 and slowed down fast enough after the alert and the cop didnt go after him. There's a laser guardian following these guys lol
They're fishing, hoping you are accelerating and they can get a faster speed with the next shot. But if you're not, they'll take the first one. And no, they do not have to shoot you more than once.
Hmm, so i guess a laser save in a scenario like is is possible. I got hit once coming down a crest of a hill (~15 over) then about 1/4mi later again with a burst but only 8 over. Never even pulled out so its certainly possible I could of accelerated to ~20 over for the 2nd shot and gotten a ticket.
That's a good point. If you're right on that line of ticket/no ticket on the first shot, and then you slow down or maintain, as opposed to speeding up, then yes, that's a save. That'd be a pretty rare occurrence, but certainly possible and a very good thing!
Your friend will soon get an invitation to a roadside disco.
The only way his theory would work is if his V1 picks up the scatter.
A direct shot and it's over, 0.3 second and the gun locks him up.
