    Speeddemon, I like the pig.

My two cents.............not every bird nest on the ground really is. I spent two hundred thousand a few years ago on a fantastic product only to learn that I had a great solution in search of a problem. The question is, how many folks will actually spend the money to buy and the time to install this product?

Other factors: I wonder if one of the more difficult engineering problems may be the attenuation of the laser in the fiber bundle. Multiple laser diodes in a head may complicate matters, requiring additional fiber cables. Alignment could be a thorny problem to overcome. How many potential customers really exist?

As in my own case a few years ago, one ultimately has to decide if he is really riding a dead horse and make the uncomfortable decision to dismount and move on.

While I agree there are problems for them to overcome, I believe the potential market for this is huge.

First off NO ONE does installs with optimum placement because most people care quite a bit about aesthetics and/or stealth. This solves the aesthetic problem while allowing for tons of placement possibilities.

Furthermore, the number one reason PT occurs is because the jammer stops seeing the beam. The Tamers double your # of inputs. Enough said.

This product will appeal to the hardcore enthusiasts as well as the guys that don't want to screw up the looks of their benz.

And to people who live in places where there are serious fines and or jail for jammers. I believe there is a market, now to just deliver a product to that market.

Bring it on already! Ontario would be a huge market for this type of CM accessory.

I would definitely want this. My concern is how will they hold up over time? Fiber optics bundles are fragile.

Ive worked with fiber but the fiber used for networking youd be surprised as it is very flexible especially the http://www.corning.com/opticalfiber/...ode_fiber.aspx. The problem i could see is the tip getting really dirty within hours of driving. Since the tip is such a small surface area how do u keep it constantly clean. And what performance hit do you take if its dirty. Now i guess you could over come this by landing more fiber runs at the lic plate. So even if there is only 10 percent transmitting out of one glass tip. I guess if you have enough of them you could effectively overcome this problem too.

You wouldn't expose the fiber tip, you'd have some kind of collimating lens on it. It would have a larger surface area and would be more immune to dirt than an exposed fiber tip.

This brings up another fun point,
the ability to play with lenses....
