Default The ultimate laser jammer test scenario. If it jams buy it!

The highway overpass speed trap with any lidar gun is bad news. Not only can they hit you from the front of the car while the ground units chase you by car below, but they've also hit people from the rear. You can watch some of outruns videos to see them in action.

I think of all laser jammer tests this kind of test scenario should be the #1 priority. If a laser jammer can jam a highway overpass shooting angle then it can surely jam a straight on laser hit.

What is the maximum angle these laser jammers will jam at? One would think a laser jammer sending out a straight beam wouldn't effect a high angle overpass shot and these kind of traps are becoming common ground.

To the laser jammer manufacturers: Do you claim your jammer will work against this type of scenario?

To the forum members: Would you buy a $550.00 laser jammer if it didn't jam an overpass shot?

I only have a LPP jammere head in the front, so if I'm targetted from the rear, I'm busted

If jammers cannot do its job against such an angled shot, I guess VEIL and Laser Shields would be the best defense.

I'd love to see they do overpass shot (front) tests at GOL.

I'm willing to bet the overpass shot will be the only scenario that'll really set the 1st and 2nd apart. If two jammers are constantly getting JTG on the usual ground shots an overpass shot will surely weed out the weaker of the two.

HappyA$$, do you have any easy access overpasses you guys could use? If not, you could do a comparable test by figuring out how tall the overpass is and then setting up a lidar position on the ground X feet from the road(X = the height of the overpass)

You will find that a lasersheild wont offer much from the rear, I think someone on here did a test and it only had marginal results as it is an easy reflective area on the rear of a car...but then again its better than nothing.

I hope they do a test of this nature!!!

Oh I'm only adding a LS to my front plate. I'm not concerned about rear for now I don't have a rear LPP jammer head anyway.

i think a powerful jammer along with lasershield and veil will definately help on the back of a car, but the jammer would have to be the most important. veil and lasershield alone would not do the trick

On the rear shots I think the distance would greatly affect just how effective Veil, Lasershield, and possibly a jammer head will be in this senario.

When RacerX did the rear shots on his truck I think everyone was surprised that a single jammer head was pretty effective in the rear of his full size truck. So we might be surprised when some more in depth testing happens.

Getting speed readings from the rear was actually much easier than the front shots and could be acquired at long distances. I think if the LEO waits to target the vehicle at say 700+ feet and you have some countermeasures on the rear you might be surprised at the results. I look forward to the testing.
