Yeah, you will see plenty of lidar in Illinois, more so in warmer seasons. I get hit the most on the highway by ISP day or night.

Encountered it on Lake Shore Drive (so far), watch for it.

nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...that's my main route. did you specifically see the LEO? was it on the median, shoulder, or overpass? i've only encountered constant-on KA. the only times i've had laser i spotted an infinity going the other way.

this really sucks, considering that nearly ALL traffic from the dan ryan construction is being routed through LSD. city trying to take advantage of the construction and make quick cash. :x the fines they issue even for just parking citations are stupid.

Where I get hit the most is ~ a 2 mile stretch in either direction of the Fullerton exit. LEO will sit in those mini-shoulder divot's on the right side of LSD.

They park parallel to LSD in those mini-shoulders and just hang out the window shooting back at traffic. I have been getting hit by lidar from CPD for at least a year and a half, so they have been running it for a while.

The Leo was visible. So far, I have only seen them running lidar when traffic is light but they may run lidar in other area's LSD which I don't traverse .
