Just ordered the ZR4!!!!!

Just got off the phone with Escort. $449 plus shipping. But they are just taking orders. The CS rep said they would not ship out for "about" a month. Bummer, even though they won't charge the card until shipped I would still feel better waiting until in stock(and maybe tested at this point :wink: )

Gives me time to come up with the "No, Honey, Escort is a company I buy work supplies from" excuse. Damn unreliable office equipment :twisted:

your asking question after question rather than calling a free 800 number or even chatting online with one of their rep's who can give you the answer in 1 minute. its not rocket science :idea:

Second, I thought that the whole point of this forum is for people with similar interests (i.e. radar detetors and laser countermeasures) to share information and help each other out.

Third, 99% of the people in this forum seem to be eager to help others with questions.

Fourth, several of us have contacted Escort and/or Bell and appear to be getting fluctuating prices quoted to us.

Last, but not least, if you are annoyed by questions, you don't have to feel obligated to reply. Certainly, there is no need to get hostile.

Hey guys, I just did an online chat with someone named "Aaron" at the Escort website. ZR4 is indeed available for sale at $450 (I am rounding up the number). You can get discounts for trade in. Here's the link that he gave me:

You can also get a $50 discount on the ZR4, if you buy the ZR4 at the same time you buy a windshield mounted radar detector unit. Unfortunately, I picked up my 9500i unit today from a local stores today. Aargh.

"Aaron" also said that he would like to hear from people in our board with any suggestions for technical improvements. Or questions about the products. Escort does not allow its people to post directly, but he says he welcomes direct emails. PM me if you want his email.

I was very impressed with the customer service at the Escort website.

I was on the phone with Escort yesterday about my X50 tune-up and asked about the ZR4. They said they were taking order and had a 1 week backlog due to an "overwhelming response".

The sales guy who emailed me said late May and early June. So that's two-three weeks away vs. the one week reported to you. Not necessarily a huge difference in time. What is confusing to me is the pricing that supposedly includes installation, or not.
