^Yes, actually it was and I appreciate your sensitivity to my (or any one else's who owns/uses this or another brand that may have, as well).

Yes, I perceived it as a response to my post, as it came immediately afterword (coincidence?).

Since I don't know you, nor have I ever communicated with you before, I'd like to share with you a little of my personal history (as one of the "founding" members of this site), which may put into some context, my response.

I have a particular historical sensitivity to dealers or other commercially vested interests making posts which are designed to be or could be perceived as being "hit-pieces" against "competing" products to unscrupulously promote their 'brand-x.' There's been an unfortunate long history of this on this and other sites and it's a real turn-off, at least to me.

There are a number of different approaches/solutions to the threats we all face, of which Veil is one of them. Each product is a result of someone's hard laboring and expense, something I appreciate and respect, immensely.

I personally try to abstain from the bashing of another company's laser countermeasure product (for the sole purpose of promoting mine) and instead attempt to focus on the positives/merits of each (either separately or run in combination with my company's products).

At the end of the day, this is a very small community and our overall collective interests would be well served if we supported each other, instead of tearing each other down for the purpose of ill-conceived marketing objectives.

Each product has its merits, its particular strengths and weaknesses (including mine), but each can also serve their owners well and get the job done when used properly.

I am ultimately thankful for the choices we all have...

I don't bash Ford, Chevy, or Dodge at car meetings. I am simply happy that each has their loyal following. I respect and celebrate that.

Thank you for your thoughtful response.

    Off-Topic alert -

WK, I sincerely hope that your buddy isn't one of those who's currently having trouble with the GT-R's LC/VDC.

BTW, is that hysteria "truly real?"

TSi+WRX: No, as he does not use LC. He reads the GTR forums and I think it's isolated, until proven otherwise. His car runs like a top! He's also owned nothing but high end Porsches including the 996 Turbo, 997 C4S. Having him convert over to the GTR speaks volumes...

That's the thing about internet forums in general (this one included)... Take everything cautiously, i.e., with a grain of salt.

    I certainly hope so.

    No kidding.

I grew up with the Internet, practically speaking. And as-such, I've developed a rather strong (albeit well-hidden) BS-filter.

Indeed, it's not just the "grain of salt" measure, but also, we should always remember that enthusiast/hobbyist Forums such as these tend to, themselves, by population and intent, skew "demographics" quite a bit.

I was able to do a little more testing with my friend's GTR last night. He had the ZR4 heads moved slightly more forward and cut away a bit of the grills that were in front of the shifters. I also had a special guest, some of you might recall, Gomouse. He brought along his own Ultralyte LR B 125 PPS and a Stalker Lidar gun. Gomouse's Stalker had older firmware on it but it was the first time I used this type of gun. Sorry I don't have any photos of his new setup.

    Testing conditions:
    - Night time
    - rain (misting)
    - 48F
    - Same testing strip/location as before
    - GTR was traveling a minimum of 44 mph (70 kmph)
    - GTR is equipped with a front license plate. No Laser Shield this time.
    - Headlights were on

    Results (w/Ultralytle LR B 125pps):
    - His passenger side is still the weak point but the PT distance has decreased from 800ft to around 250-280 ft, which is quite positive
    - Center mass shots were JTG from 1000 ft inwards.
    - Driver's side headlight shots were still pretty good with PT around the 80-120 ft mark (roughly the same as before)

    Results (w/Stalker Lidar)
    - E04 error code
    - Center mass shots were decent, with PT at 180ft
    - no time to do headlight shots

I think his car would be a good candidate for Veil G4 testing, especially on this passenger side headlight. Oh. I forgot to mention that Gomouse's Ultralyte has the 2x scope vs. the 1x on my unit. It makes a huge difference in precise aiming.

    Good stuff.

I suppose this only goes to prove, which ever jammer one uses, precise head alignment and positioning is critical, especially if Veil is NOT part of the equation.

I'd be interested to see what you come up with Veil G4 or VEIL G4 with ZR4 combo against the 125pps. I only tested the 100pps gun with Steve.

Pardon my intrusion here. Unobstructing the install played a major factor in the increased performance of the CM.
