    Default Audi Headlight sprayers

Question, I think I know the answer, but I wanted to double check. I recently been wondering why they veil coating has not been lasting long at all. It then dawned on me why, my Audi A4, and all luxury car brands, tend to have "Headlight Sprayers" to clean the headlamps in dirty/salty conditions. When I use my windshield wipers with my lights turned on, it blasts the headlamps with washer fluid also. It then dawned on me, windshield fluid is alcohol based, and alcohol removes Veil correct? For now, I just have to reapply more often, and try not to use my squirters with my lights ON. As to not activate the headlamp sprayers. Anybody else have this problem? Thanks

oh.. Great site by the way, very informative! I currently have a V1 on my bike, which has worked out great, and I also use a V1 and a Escort Zr3 in my Audi. I have had great luck with the Veil, V1 and ZR3 combination.

Actually you're probably getting a double whammy.

First, ammonia is often in such fluid.
Second, alcohol is also a component.

    Both are what removes Veil.

However, there is a solution to your problem.

Windshield washers work fine with plain water. The washer fluid with the ammonia and alcohol doesn't really work that much better. If you just have one reservoir, you should consider replacing your fluid with plain water, but if your headlight sprayers have their own independent reservoir, I would absolutely fill that one with water, no question.

Also, if you let the Veil cure for a week or so without "spraying" it, it will hold up a lot better than if it gets sprayed while it's still fresh.

But then, I have an Audi and the Veil made the headlights look dirty and foggy.

I think a properly applied Veil layer is ALWAYS going to make your headlights look foggy.

You might want to veil your face too just in case the officer can get a punchthrough from your skin cells....
