Applying veil....

Bob, when I apply the veil how think of a coat is supposed to be on it? I applied it, but then to smooth it out i used a sponge and im not sure if i just soaked all the veil right back up into the spunge

Does that look about right? Is there a trick to evenly applying this stuff?

I am afraid to say that it requires a learned technique.

I am always trying to find ways to ease the application of VEIL.

I tend not to use the sponge applicator for other than small chrome trim.

Letting the material stand for about four-five minutes after shaking seems to make a considerable difference (and improvement) in coating quality.

His pictures work for me. When I get back to school I'm going to try using a paint roller and I'll report back. Maybe Seth could try that and not have to wait for my results.

I found an easy way to apply veil! shake the can, and open the can- dab a spunge on the lid of the can and apply it. There will be low streaks, and it takes seconds!

Do you mean the sponge brush or like a kitchen sponge?

I actually got a really soft foam and used that. The brush that he gives would work too, but I found it a bit small and parts would start drying before i finished going over the lights. Using my trick I coated a set of lights w/o streaking in about 30 seconds
