New York: State Radar Equipment Contracts

I was doing some research this evening and came across the NY State Office of General Services which apparently handles state equipment bids and contracts.
I figured that there would be a bid request/ contract for speed measurement equipment; sure enough it is all there.

is the search I ran. The first result shows bids for various types of speed enforcement equipment. The second and most disappointing is the actual award of contract.

Looks like someone, somewhere in NY is going to be having a lot of fun. Most likely the state police. It also appears that POP is going to be a real threat with the MPH BEE III.

Looks like they got some K band POP units too. They must like to have variety. If they wanted to really frustrate RD owners, they should have ordered some K-55 X band radars too.

I find it hard to beleive they would buy pop equipment and not use it.
