Default Any Palisades Interstate Parkway (NJ) drivers?

Recently I had to start using the PIP on a daily basis for my commute. I can't believe how many LEOs are on that strip! They even have an unmarked (black) cruiser. Once you get into NYS it isn't too bad, but the Jersey side is crazy and with a speed limit of 50 how can you not speed?

I've been lerking on this board for a while thinking of the right RD to get. I'm probably going to get the Whistler Pro 78. Just wondering what other people are using on the PIP. See ya on the road. -RKS

BTW: I love this board, the info is great everyone.

    You'll learn where they hide.

It's hard to go too fast on that road anyway because of the volume. Usually if traffic is tight and going 50 there is a cop around.

Look for K band and sometimes Ka in jersey. Possible instant on. They sit on the grassy shoulder usually just around a bend. Most of the time they leave the radar running.

Oh yeah and they actually have TWO black dodge chargers

The NY part of the PIP is NY State troopers so look for Ka band. Currently there is a radar sign on the Southbound PIP in NY with long range K Band.

No. The PIP starts near Fort Lee NJ/ George Washington Bridge area and heads north thru New Jersey into New York's Rockland County. It ends Just north of the Rockland Border at the Bear Mountain Traffic circle. There is no direct connection to I95.

PIP in New Jersey has its own police department. They write a LOT of tickets...
