    Default NC laser show!!!

Going on right now NC HWP on I40 west bound in Asheville, NC. On the gps at N35.55763 W82.52052. The trigger man is up on a bridge shooting fish in a barrel. They have about six to eight chase cars, it's a really big show!!

I stopped and watched for some time but no pics. I was very close to the chase cars and had to leave to go back to the office. It was quite the show, that laser gun is better than a atm machine!!!

    *Dirty trick #5,388*

Place a laser jammer on the side of the road at roughly the distance that they're targeting cars. Then watch and laugh as they have trouble getting readings on *any* car (at least in the lane adjacent to where the jammer is).

Or just put up a sign 1/4 mile from the trap location that says "Revenue Trap Ahead".
If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

I'd love to post a sign or something of the sort. They must have had eight to ten troopers out there running and writing, so it didn't take long to hit the break even point!!! I made about three circuits just to see if my V995 would pick up the laser, but every time I came back all the chase cars were busy and the trigger man was letting the gun cool off, so no hits for me.

OP, time to get a jammer. What are you looking into?

They havent made it to Greensboro yet. I wonder how much longer its going to take. High point has recently upgraded from mostly K to Ka and a bunch of new Chargers.

Are you sure NC HWP is not using laser in and around Greensboro?

I wouldnt count it out, But I havent seen or heard anyone around this area getting a LIDAR hit yet. This stretch of I-40 is mainly patrolled by the Greensboro unmarked suv's with a few troopers mixed in. Its rare to see NC HWP anywhere off of 40. The rest is local LEO & Sherrif patrols. There are some good ones around that know how to work their radar and find nice hiding spots too.
