    Default PSP shooting from overpasses

I noticed an increasing trend with PSP troopers shooting instant on K band. They are shooting K band from overpasses on the interstates. It is very difficult to seem them on top of the bridge. The one I saw was today shooting traffic on I 78 at exit 6. The PSL was reduced to 45 because of all the snow, even though the road was dry. He could have pulled over everyone.

I've seen them doing that on I-81 at the Harford exit, (overpass) and on The N.E. extension at the I-80 interchange. They are difficult to see.

NY LEO's local and state have been doing this for a while. Especially Laser from the overpass. Another is to park a car (most likely personal LEO car) on an overpass and shoot I/O or laser and chase cars are on the on-ramp. Can't see any of them until RD lights up like x-mas tree

Thanks for the heads up. Even when I approach an overpass I use caution bc the amount of videos i have seen from other people on this forum that shows LEO's shooting LIDAR and radar from over passes. "Just in case" they happen to do it even though i have never personally seen it.

But now I will use more caution...

I must be the only one who thinks they're easy to see up there. How often is there a car stopped by itself in the middle of a bridge, with (hopefully) colorful plastic domes on top of it?

It could be difficult if they're shooting you in the back, but that would pretty much require them to park facing traffic on the bridge or have to make a U-turn to get to the ramp to enter the highway in your direction, so I haven't see that done.

Might have been brake lights or the daktronics message boards. Where on 78 was it?

Local LEO will not use a marked car, they use a non-conventional car-truck-or van. They are using Chevy Malibu's, Trailblazer, Ford Mustang's, Dodge Durango. You can no longer count on seeing that old faithfull Crown Vic... and the new LEO's are going to low profile lights or no lights at all. Small portion are not marked at all
