Last night coming home from RI I was stopped at around exit 22 in CT on 95SB. The LEO must have entered 95 just as I was going by the entrance ramp and he saw that I was traveling faster than the flow of traffic (I was doing low 70's in a 55). I saw him in the rear view 300 or so yards back and coming up fast so I moved to the center lane and traveled at 60ish till the lights went on. I pull over and he comes up, I already have my paperwork out, and he just goes starts saying that I was traveling well over the posted limit etc. He just tells me to slow down and then tells me that there are speed cameras on this section of 95. Now I drive 300-400 miles a week on 95 between Norwalk and RI and while there are radar generators I have never seen a camera or gotten a ticket from a speed camera. Did this guy just try to scare me or have they/are they installing speed cameras on 95? I would think that it would be difficult for speed cameras to work on a multi-lane hiway.
Just curious.
By the way he did not write me up, not sure if it was the fact that I was in a well marked company car or he just did not get a chance to trail me for long enough....
Cheers,
Jim
