Oregon police to start blitz on traffic violators
Oregon police are going to be focusing on catching motorists violating speed limits or driving while impaired during a 10-day traffic enforcement blitz, police announced yesterday.
The extra enforcement, which begins today and runs through May 13, is conducted in conjunction with “Circle Toledo” and the local school prom season.
During the blitz, extra police patrols will target the following roadways in Oregon: State Rt. 2, State Rt. 51, Wheeling Street, Starr Avenue, and Coy Road.
Police have adopted a zero tolerance for safety-belt violations in conjunction with the enforcement blitz.
The extra patrols are being funded with a grant from the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
