IN - State police target highway safety issues

Indiana State troopers are patrolling I-70, focusing efforts on speeding, following too closely, moving over and or/slowing down law, and unsafe lane movement.

Motor carrier inspectors are centering on driver licensing, medical certification verification and log book entries, among others.

The project is also being conducted on I-64 and the Indiana Toll Road until today.


State police held a press conference this morning at the scales on the westbound side of I-70 at the 148 mile marker in Richmond.

They'll have their VG2s out looking for RDs in trucks too. That is a little known fact outside this forum.
