I like the idea of it but yeah wish there was something other than radar to use. Hopefully its not K because thats the only type of legit radar from the PSP (haven't seen Ka like others claim)

well we both know it couldnt be Ka because it would be too expensive... I would have thought since they are putting k-band units in damn near everything, k-band units must be cheap....

    but now i wanna know....

Probably K. Nice system so you don't have to stop for a lot of lights but it will suck being an RD user

I'll vote for K too. Majority of radar used in PA is K band, so this probably would be too.

This thing is insanely advanced to statewide technology-standards as far as I'm concerned. It's kinda cool.

There are K-band signals emanating from almost every stoplight on US-11 between Mechanicsburg and Camp Hill. I always assumed they were for roughly this purpose.

The current situation is that there's almost no State Police presence in the areas in which these things would be used, so it's probably not much of a problem... for now...

I wish the perceived solution to every traffic woe wasn't, "Let's just throw up a traffic light on the same intersection we have now!", but if they don't make me waste gas stopping for someone 100 feet ahead who already stopped or for somebody who already made a right turn on red, I'd hate them a little less.

^ Until they get smart and mask their k band radar with these traffic light radars...

and that's when the V1 does it's job
