    Thanks for the quick response

Maybe I can find a Red tint film to put over the display.

But over all the brightness you can get use to? I am frequently running many electronics that light up my car at night, GPS, scanner and car gauges at full britghtness

I don't understand have you can use full brightness on the BEL when at night? Mine if usually set to medium unless a sunny summer day

Maybe it's the level of sunlight where I live? Sunny days by me are REAL bright and my RD sits on the dashboard of my truck. I am more than used to the brightness of both the RD and C100. I do think that if folks are light-sensitive they can use a piece of window tint or colored film to put over the C100. But I sure can't see Cheetah installing a brightness control or software to limit brightness. It's not like the C100 lights up your whole interior at night. And if the light seems too bright, just throw a piece of rag over it. Heck, it has audio alerts too!!

The one nice thing about the C100 is it's ability to lock on the satellites no matter where you put it. I just have the weird problem of slow lockon in cold weather.

How long is Slow my NAV unit takes 30seconds...Also I think I would be comfortable with the CAMs in the first bit of my morning drives as the engine still has to warm up

    See my thread here:
    http://www.radardetector.net/forums/...tice-c100.html

Lately it's been taking anywhere from 3-15 minutes, depending on the temperatures. The warmer it is outside, the quicker it locks on. During the summer it's almost instantaneous. 15 seconds or less. This month, when the temps drop to 30F or below, it takes a lot longer. No cameras in my area, I use it for a speedo. When I drive up to northern New Mexico in early January I will be driving through camera locations.

it's almost as bright as the V1 going off at full tilt

Again...get some wondow tint if you perceive that it is that bright.

BTW....if you put ANY light-emitting source in total darkness like that picture you posted, it will look like baseball stadium lights. The barely visible tritium lights on my pistol look like aircraft landing lights when I look at them in total darkness. Post a picture with the dash lights turned on full power and the C100 next to them and it will look far mess dramatic. Nice try though

actually, i took this as one of my styled shots originally. not to compare the brightness in between the two. but it did make for an interesting picture for this topic

I just ordered a C100 for myself so I guess I'll see for myself how bright it is when I get it on friday

I'll take a picture of it between my BEL v995 and V1
