It could. Depends on how dirty. Excess mud and so forth may get you a warning depending on how strongly LP visibility is enforced.

You didn't hear this from me...but one could just remove the front plate and take their chances with an equipment violation.

    It's still a non-moving violation...

Otherwise, look at other options from your state. Perhaps (like PA) they issue other plate styles that are NOT retro-reflective and darker in colour than a standard state plate.

    Default blinder laser jammer

Okay guys, I have the answer. Actually, Speed Measurement Labs has the answer to this question. I have a video clip that clearly shows all photo radar sprays don't work because they can reverse the image to its negative. The Veil guy is right as well. If you were to put something super reflective on your plate your Blinder or any other laser jammer may not work as well. Do you really want to risk it? If I were you I'd just invest in a photo radar cover, whether it be a Super Protector or the P-CB Pro that we tested.

Want to see the video? Enjoy!

Using a digital camera simply won't work when you test these sprays. Why? For one thing photo radar uses a flash bulb that is 50 to 400 mW! This is at least 10X the flash power of your digital camera. If you really want to test it go to a professional camera shop, buy a 50mW slave bulb and then test it out. Radar Roy is correct on one point. Some photo radar units use IR light, instead of white light. The white light is used on the older systems. Stick with a refractive cover if you want protection that won't be outdated. Don't buy any countermeasure that uses reflection. Overexposing a plate is not a safe alternative anymore in my opinion.

More information on photo radar specifications can be found on the national motorists website.
