Your professional thief will not bother breaking a law for a Cobra, unless he is stealing the car. Then he might throw it out to increase the car's value though. Your amature, run-of-the-mill I need money for drugs thief would, just for the shimmer of hope they can get something for it.
I really think most people don't even know what a good detector is, so if they see a Cobra, to them it is as good as a Bel or any other detector. People will steal anything, if later on they find they have no need for it they will just toss it.Quote:

I've left my Cobra overnight inside my car for about a month now.. Since I got it cheap, idc.
