mrcllusb and I installed his RX75 on my car this weekend. This is what we came up with.
I'll probably go back and re-level the heads and tinker with it some more. The ZR3 heads don't have parallel sides so I'll have to think on it.
The blue is the radar antenna.
Blake does alarm installs so the RD install went really well!

are those little black things near the jammer heads deers siren things do they even work or just a cheap piece of junk from autozone
Once we decided on the layout,the rest was cake.If any of you guys are in or near Savannah and need help with your install just give me a holla.I have all of my own tools.I know when i worked at the install shop we charged about 45-50 an hour,for just labor.So if i can save you a few i'm willing to.

Installation looks good! I had those deer siren things on my old car, but took them off when the sound they made startled a deer which then ran right out in front of my car. I missed hitting that deer by less than 1 foot and the encounter scared the living daylights out of me. Later that evening I yanked those deer siren things off my car.
just curious, how yall solder wires while in the car? I asked because there'S no where to rest the wires on...Quote:

Whatever connection i can solder and heat shrink out of the vehicle i do.The wires i solder in the car are ignition,12v supply.First i look up the wiring diagram for the vehicle.See where the ignition and or accessory wires are and what polarity they are.Use my multimeter( Not Test Light)!! to check for ignition switched 12V line.Use my soldedeing iron flat tip to melt insulation away in a small area,use my point tip to poke a even split between the wires,stick the new wire thru the split,wrap around clock wise then solder and tape using good 3M super33 electrical tape.Solid connection that will hopefully never come apart unless you make it.

Here is a true story for ya. Happened a couple of winters ago to a good buddy of mine who lives up north in NJ:
They had a pine tree fall on their home during the middle of the night, causing lots of damage and scaring the daylights out of the entire family. So, about a month later on a Friday night my buddy and his family decide to go out for dinner. A couple of miles from their house a large buck runs out in front of their SUV. The buck crashes through the windshield and its body bursts open from the impact. There is blood everywhere and my buddy, his wife and their kids are screaming their lungs out. The buck's head and antlers also came crashing through the windshield and stopped only about 2 inches from my buddy's chest. Everyone is screaming, blood is everywhere, then the buck started kicking in its death throws, and that of course lead to a lot more screaming while more of its insides spilled out into the car.
Yep, he had deer whistles on his SUV, and the deer whistles startled the deer, making the deer suddenly dart in front of their SUV. They decided that falling pine trees are far less scary. :D

Soooo MT, was the deer in the vid startled into darting in front of the car by the whistles? Is there like a 50/50 chance that the deer would have ran the OTHER direction?
Do deer give a flying fart if your whistling or not? Are the chrome whistles better than the black whistles?
On on OT to this OT, I was at Mrcllusb's house and he says to his wife "This is the guy withe the Mexicans on the CB vid." so I'm thinking "Great, now she KNOWS I'm a dumb@ss. I don't even have to prove it..."

I wonder if they make dogs howl. If so, they're still worth it for the entertainment value.
Easy fix, just drive something loud enough that they run away before they even see your headlights!
If that doesnt' work, my truck sits high enough that the chance of a deer even coming in contact with my windshield is almost impossible, and my truck is at stock height.
I have a buddy who hit a deer at 60mph in the exact truck as mine. It put a 2" crack in his plastic grill and maybe a 3" round dent in the front bumper, the crack in the grill sticks out like a sore thumb, but the dent in the bumper is hardly noticeable. Not too shabby. 4 tons vs. 150lb deer....

I've decided if a LEO asks me what those devices are on the front of the F-150 (Blinder M45) I'm going to tell him electronic deer whistles. If he asks me how they work I'm going to say haven't hit a deer since I installed them. :D
