Well we do have reps from these companies on the board, but they don't want to be in public. I do get comments from them about the board...

If I was a detector manufacturer it would be to my best interest to participate on this forum. There are a lot of detector owners out there that would love the support for the manufacturer. They can learn a lot about features that we would like to have added. It is like free marketing research. What a guy Roy is proving a free service like this![]()
RIP Duncan my BELOVED black lab son 8/7/99-3/23/11. I will miss you DEARLY.

Actively participating in a forum like this may look like kind of a gamble to some manufacturer reps. It's difficult to be candid with people like us when you are at the same time trying to act in the absolute best interests of the company. We tend to want detailed information (like new features, models, how filtering works, etc.) that isn't in the best interests of the company to release. It's good to know they're listening, though, and I hope Mike will feel free to chime in whenever possible!

Honestly it is kind of frustrating not knowing just HOW some of the features work and what exactly they're doing in the whole scheme of things. But I guess reps don't really want their competitors to know eitherOriginally Posted by brick
Guess we'll have to rely on our own testing to figure out those details...
Once again, welcome to the forum Mike
