Regulation 339/94 (Section 20 - Item #37) states that section 79 (2) of the Highway Traffic Act (Drive motor vehicle equipped with or carrying a speed measuring warning device) carries 3 demerit points.
Also be aware that speeding fines have increased. From 30-35km/hr over the limit the cost is $6.00 per km/hr over the limit not including victim surcharge or costs.
they took my old RD away from me about 6 months ago. i got a fine for 150.00, i beleive it was, and no demerit points.
they saw the thing on my dash while they were slamming down donuts at timmy's while i drove by, bastards. :roll:
anyway, i now have an STI and i'm careful not to leave it on the dash while i'm in the city.
