When I send in my current V1 (3.826), I always have an older 1.7 V1 as my backup.
Which one do you think performs better?
Keep it! The guys are right, if you get rid of it you will have wanted it back one day. You won't get full price on it if you sell it and if you ever want another one you will have to pay the hefty price again!
Also if you happen to get your radar detector stolen or confinscated you always have a back up to use!
Now in the event it was an RMR, i'd sell it for sure!

The 1.7 I have lacks the band identification which I like and it is so old that it lacks the rear laser function. It is just a backup but it works fine. I prefer the one I currently use.Which one do you think performs better?

I am referring to visual band identification plus I like the fact that my current V1 is smaller.
ya i know but all i wantted to say not all v1.7s lack on this issue. visual band identifiaction and rear laser anteannas it all depens on the frimware version.
