Best radar detector for me?

Im wanting to spend anywhere from $50-$200 for my first detector, and ill probably buy a better one as time goes on but for that price range what is the best?

I dont have any models to ask cause I dont know but please dont throw me 50 diff models maybe just a couple lol

more simply you get what you pay for in many aspects of purchasing a radar detector

At that price range a Bel or Whistler would be good. Stay away from Cobra though, their RDs are pieces of... well you know...

well I want the best one under $200 hands down. one that has the fewest false alarms and all that.

from what I have read the v895 is pretty good and from personal experience, but it is 199+tax

Do a search in this forum and read as much as you can on the 73 and the 895 see which one leads you to believe will give you the best protection and least falsing for the money you want to spend.
