I know we all want to promote Roy's business, but for Whistler products the 1793SE is the best performance for the $$ at $99 online. It has all the features of the Pro-73 plus additional features not available on the Pro-73. Also, the warranty on the 1793SE is 3 years vs. 2 years for the Pro-73. The difference is an "intense blue" display (Pro-73) vs. standard red.
Either a Whistler or Bel would be your best bet for that price range.
Im leaning towards the Pro73 on the whistler side but is the Bel E795 about as good? if it is im going that route.

The V895 for $200 + tax would be your best bet. I love mine and it will out perform the E795 and any of the pro series from Whistler.

I know the Bel V series or Vector is supposed to have more range and less falses than the E series or Express. The Bel 895 is only available new at Radio Shack and is supposed to be identical to the Bel Vector 955. I have seen some really good test results from the Bel 895.
