Default Passing fast??? Or Passing Sslowwwww??

You know when you're on those long highway drives (one driving one passing lane) and your cruising in the right lane safely because you feel that that lanes better to speed in. Say your going 80 in a 65. As you approach a car in the right lane at 80 and you know you need to pass, but theres no rabbit in front of you, what method do you perfer to pass? Kick it up to 85 and pass quickly? Keep it at 80 or 75 and go alittle slower but keep yourself out in the open for a longer period of time?

Hope that made sense, I'm not sure what I perfer, guess it depends on the situation, normally I whimp out alittle and drop it down a bit.

honestly, its a lot smarter to slow down a little before you pass.
a lot of LEO's will nab you when your passing.

although i'll be the first to admit, i get impatient and tend to go a little faster when i pass..

I pass at WOT all the way, just to hear (and let them hear) my monstrous sounding Intake, then I get back over and slow a bit... obviously still going faster than the guy i just passed

damn... I usually go as fast as I can, which isnt much that fast at all. According to the ticket I got a bit back when passing I was going 78 in a 60 (fast lane). I guess I have no regard for safety or lives of the people I share the road with, silly me. Stupid I-5 and their pro laser III.

The slower you pass the more the other car will speed up, unless they are using cruise control. Naturally a person will not pay much attention so if a car drives along side them at almost they same speed they will naturally match it. If you blow past them they will not change speed at all.

So, do you want to get the other car to speed up more or do you want to pass them? all depends on how you do it.
