Can anyone tell me what the heck this is? Laserpatrol......

Dunno... but if I ever encounter one, you can bet I'll be switching lanes back and forth!
The "laserpatrol" aspect was just to determine the accuracy of the radar (i.e., the laserpatrol was the "gold standard") from my reading. And I don't really get the point of determining the "volume" of the vehicle - what diff does it make if it's a car or a truck, unless the object is just to collect highway vehicle data. Maybe catching speeders isn't the goal with this thing?
