    Default Tint amount?

Hey, I drive an Audi a4 with a Valentine 1 Radar. I want to get my car tinted this weekend but I am not so sure how dark I should get the back and all considering that I have a detector. How dark should i get it so it will sttill be able to recieve radar? as well as being dark at the same time.

it could be a limo tint with dyed or ceramic tints and Radar wont be affected........... but it could be a 95% on metallic and Radar will be slightly affected

As long as the tint isn't metallic, you'll be fine. But actually knowing if it is metallic or not is another story, just ask and see if they know. According to VR, "Axius" tint is OK, while "Gila" tint causes some loss of radar range.

If your rear tint is metallic, you'll experience decreased rear radar range and some loss of effectiveness of the arrows...

Ceramic tint cost double the amount of regular.Just ask them what grade tints they have.As long as you don't choose metallic, you'll be fine.If you chose metallic because of it heat reflection properties, then you will lose some radar range.

Ceramic would be the best tint, yes.
