Default Anyone heard if this new type of radar?

I was bouncing around the net and came across this post from a guy in Illiinois. Front/Rear radar that allows the police to get you from both directions.

A-yup, they've had them for a while. The dual antennae Stalker comes to mind.

Now being able to pick out a car from a pack, that's a bit of a stretch. He might be reffering to Fastest Speed mode, but I don't really know how reliable that is.=

ummmmmmm they've had dual antenna moving opposite mode since the late 70s probably earlier.

moving same lane has been around for 10+ years also

that is nothing new; that f-body owner was just a f'ing idiot.

That's a little harsh don't you think? Are you sure you just aren't a little ticked about his remarks about the Civics? I see that you own one.

Dual radar has been around as long as me, mid 70's. As for moving mode, yes, but it's not real popular because of safety concerns. Although stationary is very deadly, because most cars have single forward facing antennas, you can be done real easy this way.

i'm willing to bet that most traffic tickets are written when the patrol car was moving. doesn't take much mental effort to turn off hold and or change modes. it's instinctual for me and i've only owned a radar gun for a few weeks.

didn't see any remarks about civic's but most f-body owners are idiots; especially ones that dont think they can be radar'd moving away from a patrol car

Actually your right, Computerjlt. Mobile radar is pretty wide spread and can be hit and miss. But i was thinking on the lines of stationary rear radar, that can bite ya'

yup, theyre just a bunch of damned idiots..............

on a side note the guy did mention civics in the last block of text (cant really call it a paragraph), mentioned the officials always having to clean up the strip because of daily driver civics and farm trucks leaking oil and s**t.............. probably all the farm trucks, he just probably hates civics......... they always do......... hell, so doI, but not to this sort of extent, I hate their slowness

I dunno if you should say something like that here

I'd say most tickets to be written with the car stationary since that's usually "ticket machine mode". But moving mode sure does bust a lot of people including my dad once a couple years back  Think twice before you decide to pass a stinky diesel Jetta
