I will be giving one of these a try in the future. Especially how they are turning over some zombies

If you are out on the main highways without to many automatic doors in sight on your daily commutes, then I would say the v1 would serve you well.

    neither is perfect.
Let's do a poll on which radar detector company makes the most solid product with the best performance, best support, upgradeabilty and Valentine Research will win with at least 75% of the votes.
Why? So the trolls can vote yes and feel good about their detector?

Until a die hard v1 fan gives the competition a try, their opinion on which is better is irrelevent.
I gave my cousin's x50 a try, wasn't impressed... For your upcoming trip, v1 or STi is my vote...

Well Sethy there is some truth to that.

I'm on my second v1 and its going to be turning 1 year here in a few months. I also have a rx65 that was given to me - I sent it in for repair since the warranty was ending and they fixed it. When I got it back - I still thought it sucked compared to the v1.

I'd be more than happy if someone wanted to do a swap for a month or two with the sti and rx65 - I'd do it. But I've never been a fan of abusing the 30 day trial when I have no intention of keeping it in the first place. Its deceitful.

ok guys I am sorry for being invisible and not replying fast but my internet was being gay.... I didn't expect this to turn into a war between which detector is better, but I guess I should have known better lol... I never thought about getting an STI Driver before. It is no secret by my name that I am stationed on an Air Force Base, but they do not use RDD's here so I never really worried about it. I looked at the GOL tests that were done recently and I see the STi is doing fairly well against all different kinds of threats.... Also I do like the Blue display. That was one of the main reasons I bought it and not another Red display. I don't think I will be getting a V1 either. I like Belscort and I intend to stick with them for awhile. Even though I have got 2 bad apples from them, they have always been very great at customer service and helped me with anything I have ever needed. Also I just dont like the whole 80's look of the V1, kinda cheap looking if you ask me.
