is using this cord the same as hardwiring? and also does it cut down on install time? do you just plug it in the fuse box, lead the wire up and go?

thanks for the reply.
also any michigan drivers out there, do you know what type of radar are used? I am in the flint/detroit area.
I had a PRO 73 for about 2-3 years and i had no complaints with that detector. I just knew if i heard K or KA band i should slow down. I pretty much knew what were false and what were not. I know have the 9500i and have been reading non stop on this forum and have found some very useful information. I have had the 9500i for a little less than a week. I have not had any LEO encounters as of yet, I did have a full alert to KA band on a straight road. but did not see a LEO. I came to the conclusion that a car passing by must have had a cobra. I have no complaints so far with this detector.
I'm not from around the Michigan area but I do know that these bands are used.Originally Posted by oman0123

I feel you there. Yesterday I was driving along and started getting 2 / 3 bars of KA band. I noticed as I approached this White Painters Van the signal keep getting stronger. Sure enough as I passed the Van there was a Cobra hanging on the windshield. I really hate Cobras especially when they false KA. To be honest, at first I though I was getting some steller KA performance.Originally Posted by oman0123
wow i did not know that michigan still uses x band. maybe i should turn that on
I was driving and started getting a KA band alert. I noticed as I approached an SUV the signal keep getting stronger. There was a Cobra hanging on the windshield and it had 1 suction cup hanging sideways. Cobras suck but apparently the users have problems understanding how to mount there units.
What is wrong with people? I have seen 3 RD's installed sideways and crooked 3 times in the passed month
I've never personally seen X shot in Michigan -- it's quite quite rare.Originally Posted by oman0123
