Pure Joy!!

So I just wanted to post to thank everybody on the forum. A month ago I had not even planned on getting a rdd. With the help of this forum I have picked the 8500 x50 and I am more then happy with it. It has brought the joy back to driving. I just go out and cruise around now ( not speed ) just cruise. It feels good to not have to worry if i am 5 miles over or at the PSL. I feel like I just got my license again. I just get in my car and drive, dont think, dont worry, just enjoy the feeling.

I really have learned a lot on this forum and my expertise keeps growing everyday as I have become a regular here. I really just wanted to say thanks to everyone especially Roy for having this forum.

YOU MADE ME ENJOY DRIVING AGAIN!!

This forum gets addicting! I think its a combination of all of the really knowledgable people who post here and the fact that most everyone is respectful and civilized.

I enjoy reading everyone's posts, and I've definitely learned a lot on here as well.

Most of all, this forum keeps me from being bored at work. Those days when the forum was down... I actually had to work! Imagine that, doing what they pay me for. Hopefully that doesn't happen again. :wink:

lol just remember that just because you have a great radar detector doesn't mean that you can't get a ticket. Pay attention to your surroundings. And I'm the exact same way, I just like to drive. Enjoy!

yea I learned that the hard way after getting mine. Got lasered... that was all i needed to bring me back to earth. Now ive learned and am a lot more cautious

Laser doesn't count until you get your laser jammer. Anyway, care to share how you got hit?

It was all my fault. Was the only one on the road coming back up i-87. No one in front, no one behind. Felt very confident with my detector because of how it performed thus far. Never considered lasers or even IO. Was doing 87 in 65. Laser went off on x50 slowed down but it was too late he was starting to pull out. I pulled over immediately. He came to the window did the chatty chatty then with a smirk asked me if my detector picked up lasers. Sadly i looked up at him and said yes. Then he turned to his car and said "Ill be right back with your ticket."

Had to be a dick about it.

We live we learn. Now its time for a laser jammer

LOL I-87 in New York... I call it "the gauntlet"... driven it the whole way and there are always stories... a lot of people here busted on that route.
