Based on the number of Highway miles a week you drive, and the VA factor, the Redline would be my choice.

The V1 does better against quicker shots of instant on, but some claim that the range of the redline is normally longer than the V1. It is all about preference, personally I'd go with the V1 because you only need so much warning against constant on radar.
If you travel through VA a lot though, I'd go with the redline, just be sure you mount it high and hardwire it.
You can't go wrong with either one both are really good RD's. If you spend alot of time in Va I would say get the Redline. Also if you live in area with alot of hills, curvy roads, etc. the Redline does better against off axis radar and has better over the hill and forward facing detection.
I also would advice a CB radio $100 investment takes on any RD anytime of the day.
Redline since u will be in va. Thats the one you should get.
Which will have better detection on hills and curves? I placed and order for the Redline a couple of days ago.
