False alarms are a secondary issue.

This is a key difference for V1 users. Sensitivity is what brings the Escort and V1 to the top of the pile, but while many detectors employ filters to reduce falsing, with the Escort being the most sophisticated, V1 users *are* the filter. It can certainly be difficult to have a conversation with a passenger who doesn't appreciate the V1's alerts. (Drives my wife nuts )

In the end, the Escort and V1 the offer some of best performance, each with a slightly different philosophy and approach.

Absolutely. All bands on, pop on, ka guard off, "A" mode are a must for V1 users when a woman gets in the car.

The V1 is the only detector that allows me to set the RD for a 2 level alert, for I/O response. Plus, it is the best for the $$$$$. My GF enjoys my RD better than she enjoys me!

A 2 level alertness. Tab volume for weak X and K. Loud main volume for strong X, K, all Ka and Laser for the no thinking hit the brakes reactions. Yes, there are no setting for Ka but all Ka is heaved with Bama Troopers around. Oh, settings is 7 and b arrows down in little l mode. Does that help?
