Well, I'll start off by saying the temperatures in my area have been unbelievably hot for a long time now. They've been consitently hovering right at 100 degrees with the heat index in the 105-114 range. Anyways, I went out to my truck to get something today, and seen that my hardwire cord slipped out between my windshield and roof. While I was tucking it back in, I noticed a tar like feel on my hands. Come to find out, my damn cord had melted from the heat and sun. There's now wires exposed and what not. What are my options for replacement in this situation? Obviously, I'm going to need a new cord, but are there any cords out there that have a higher tolerance for heat? I have a Valentine, so I can use different telephone cables and what not if I'm not mistaken.
