    Default Ka band variation

How far off frequency can a Ka band radar gun be? (Got a 33.900 instead of ~33.800 and was wondering...)

+/- 100 MHZ is the typical range stated by the manufacturers for Ka band.........so 33.900 is right at the fringe. However, it could drift a bit more without any real adverse effects to the Radar with the exception of possibly reducing it's range.

Be advised that the readouts on our detectors are not 100% accurate and that with three different detectors you would probably read 3 different frequencies. They put us in the ballpark and close enough for our purposes, but are not exact.

Yeah there's a video of someone doing that with 4 redlines (or 9500's) and they are a little higher or lower than each other (just by 1 step though).
