Default wish someone would test older superwide band detectors

I have a Uniden 2200 sw that appear to own Qt/IO and have decent range and I bet there are some older Bell and escort models that do the same thing.

anyone want to collect some older detectors off of ebay and give it a whirl?

I bet I will never see it till I do it myself. lol

and this test would be excellent to compare the newest detectors performances with these older fully band functional units units.

I have a new Magnum STi that I have had for 2-1/2 months now. I had reserched other detectors that included the older Bel RX65 which has the S-7 antenna hardware and was very impressed with my findings. I puchased a refurb off belscort sto on fleaday with warranty. Yesterday I received my K-Golden Eagle Ka (35.4) radar unit and did some I/O test with the RX65 (USA mode, everything else off)and the Magnum (Ka on and everything else off). I placed both units in the back seat and tested each one seperatly. The results were the RX65 missed one out of 10 I/O shots at 300 to 500 milliseconds. The Magnum missed 5 out of 10 performing the same shots. The RX65(old S-7) out-performed the Magnum performing this simple test. My son and I are going to perform some road test to find out how each one performes distance wise using I/O and C/O. I will post the results.
