Original Solo Reset?

I have had this original Solo forever, never used it, just bought it on ebay for fun, about five years ago. It used to power up just fine, but now that I've decided to sell it on ebay, I can't get it to reset. I have replaced the battery and inserted the key, but all I get when I press the power switch is a short beep. Do any of you know what I am doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated!

Used to light up and work, now just a beep and nothing else as far as lights, etc. Any ideas?

So when you turn it on it just beeps and then goes black or I mean no lights.

I think it's probably junk. Maybe I will post it on Ebay anyway and disclose the fact that it doesn't seem to work, but would be cool as an antique paperweight or something. Thanks, dave for your assistance. I was so sorry to read your post about your dog. Made me hug my three when I got home that night.
